Why Do Hard Water Stains Occur?

Hard water stains are one of the most common causes of permanent glass staining throughout Perth. Western Australia is known for having relatively hard water, meaning it contains naturally occurring minerals such as calcium and magnesium. When water from sprinklers, bore systems, reticulation systems, rainwater runoff or repeated washing dries on the glass, these minerals can be left behind as visible white spots or cloudy deposits.
